E-submission

This section of Sustainable Development and Engineering Economics describes the most popular errors and frequently asked questions while working with E-submission system . As time goes on, this section will be updated as new questions become available.

To sign in in the E-submission system, the author has to visit the web-site. After clicking the “Register” button, you should fill in all the required fields. Please note that in the “Initials in English” you should write first letter(s) of your first (given) name (or names).

It is highly appreciate to mention your ORCID, Scopus ID and other identifiers. They serve for unambiguous identification of author and his publications and help to avoid the appearance of several profiles of one author. If there are several profiles in different databases, publications, citations and indicators (for example, h-index) of the author may be incorrectly counted.

Please, enter the current contact information to simplify communication with the editors and update them as they change.

We also recommend you to add a profile photo. Permitted photo formats: .jpg, .png, .gif. The size of the uploaded photo should not exceed 3 Mb.

In order to change your personal data, go to “Personal profile” page and click the “Edit profile” button at the bottom of the page. The profile editing form will be opened. Make the necessary changes and click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Please check the information correctness as it will be used in your articles.

Writing a review

  1. After evaluating the article for compliance with the journal requirements, the editor appoints two or more scientific reviewers. A peer-reviewing invitation will be sent to your e-mail.
  2. We kindly ask you to confirm your agreement to write a review, replying to the editor via e-mail indicated in the letter. In the absence of an answer, the editorial board believes that you agree to review the article.
  3. You can get access to the reviewed article by clicking on the link specified in the letter, or in your personal account in the "My reviews" menu.
  4. To create a review, go to the article page and click the "Add review" button, which is located in the "Reviewer action pane" section. The form for adding a review will appear on the screen. It consists of a mandatory questionnaire and the following fields: note, note to the editorial board, and paper. After filling out the form, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. Please be sure to leave comments on the article in the form of notes or a text document. For your convenience, you can use a template for writing a review.
  5. After creating a review, you can edit it by clicking on the top link "Current review (edit)" in the table of versions and reviews. In this state, the review is not available to the author.
  6. After editing, select the conclusion from the drop-down list in the "Reviewer action pane" section and click "Submit review". After that, the new version of the article will be available for editing to the author.
  7. The editorial board can return the review for revision. In this case, make changes to the current review in accordance with the editor's comment and resend the review.
  8. If the article was sent for revision, after the author corrects the comments, it will be sent for re-review, notification of which will be sent to the email address.
  9. After the acceptance or rejection of the article, the work on it is completed.

Anonymity of reviewers

After you are appointed as a reviewer, you will be assigned an ordinal number. For authors, the submitted messages and reviewers will be marked as "Reviewer #№".

When working on articles, please observe the following rules to preserve your anonymity:

  • do not use your name in the caption in the "Discussion" field;
  • do not include your name in the title of the review document;
  • do not specify your name is in the text of the review.
